    Our 4 core pillars

Our education and outreach work is organised around four complementary pillars. Together they connect formal learning, institutions, public galleries, communities, and scholarly research with Frank Bowling’s life and work.

  • Schools and Teachers

    Schools and Teachers

We actively enrich learning experiences across primary, secondary and tertiary education by creating resources and workshops, integrating Bowling’s work into school curriculums and academic discourses. We establish and maintain long-term relationships with educational institutions, from nurseries and post-16 colleges to universities.

    We do this by:

    • Creating schemes of work that teachers can download and use in their classroom
    • Holding workshops, lectures and artist-led sessions
    • Aiding study visits, on-site and virtual sessions, and collaborative projects with schools and higher education
    • Providing CPD for teachers and lecturers

  • Supporting museums and galleries

    Supporting museums and galleries

We work with museums and galleries by collaborating with education departments to create enriching resources to support current exhibitions and public programmes that feature Bowling’s work. We build long-term partnerships across our programme of work.

    This includes:

    • Collaborations with regional, national, and international institutions
    • Exhibition interpretation materials
    • Public talks, tours, and educational events
    • Resource development and distribution for partner institutions
