Our programme at the Frank Bowling Foundation is free and open to schools and colleges. We continue to build our teaching resources, which are free to download. Having worked with schools locally and globally, we have hosted workshops at the Frank Bowling studio and visited schools.
If you would like to talk to us about a visit, project or our resources, email education@frankbowlingfoundation.org.
Our schemes of work are free to download and designed to drop straight into a lesson. Each pack includes a classroom PowerPoint, suggested activities and links to Bowling’s work.
Used our teaching resources and have feedback? Get in touch via our feedback form.
Our CPD sessions are a chance for teachers to connect, build new skills, discuss key themes and feel more confident about bringing Frank Bowling’s work into the classroom.
Our next CPD session will be announced shortly. Sign up to our mailing list for dates and booking information.

We welcome enquiries from homeschooling groups, after-school art clubs and informal learning settings. We can discuss tailored workshops, resource packs and visits where appropriate—please get in touch to plan something that suits your group.
We are preparing a filmed archive tour for schools to use in the classroom when an in-person visit is not practical. This will introduce students to materials from the Frank Bowling Archive and support study of the artist’s life and practice.
For research access to the archive, see our archive page or email archive@frankbowlingfoundation.org.
Further reading for lesson planning is on our bibliography for teachers. Tate Kids also offers free classroom resources:
